This week we interviewed reggae artist IGNATIUS. Check out his BTA profile from this LINK

Please introduce yourself.

Yo, my name is Tommi Ignatius 35-year-old dude from Finland. Moving to Thailand next month.

How did you end up making music and how did your artist name come about?

I´ve been playing guitar in cover bands for many years, touring all over Finland. A few years ago I bought myself studio equipment and started making my own music. Artist name is just my last name because that´s who I am :)

How would you describe your music?

I have released two albums this year, one that is Finnish reggae and another that has a variety of genres. I love all sorts of music.

Tell us little about your creative process?

Usually, I watch movies with a guitar or a bass in my hand and then I get some kind of idea. My songwriting is always about the feeling.

What is the best thing about being a reggae artist?

Learning every day something new.

The most memorable show you performed?

About ten years ago we played a show for people with disabilities in Nurmijärvi. That was a great show, everyone was so real and enthusiastic.

Tell us about your regular hangout? Have you ever had a gig there?

My regular hangout is my home, I am that lame :) And yes, I’ve had a performance here.

If you could choose, which artist would you like to see live? Dead or alive.

Have to say Bob Marley here :)

Future projects we should know about?

I am planning to release a new reggae single in a few weeks. Also, check out my collabo-project “IGNATIUS & JOPI” We are releasing our 1st single “Kylpyyn” next week featuring Brädi.

Thank you for the interview!

See you next week with a brand new BTA artist interview.
